Organizations & Activities

Trinity offers students a wide variety of extracurricular opportunities.
With the development of the total person at the core of our philosophy, Trinity School believes it is essential to offer students a wide variety of extracurricular opportunities through which they might find and develop their personal gifts and talents. A diverse selection of clubs, organizations, honorary societies, and class trips provide Trinity students the opportunity to grow, learn, lead others, and work together for a common goal.

Students inspired by specific academic studies can supplement their classroom experiences through organizations such as Science Club, Key Club, Leo Club, Interact Club, Youth Legislature, Trinity Ambassadors, FCA, SGA, various language clubs, and Yearbook. In an effort to recognize and encourage academic excellence in its students, Trinity recognizes a number of clubs and organizations: National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and French, Latin, and Spanish honor societies. Academic competition is available through participation in the Trinity Academic Competition Team (TACT) program. TACT members participate in a number of competitions including Scholars’ Bowl, Enviro Bowl, and Science Olympiad.

Learning Outside the Classroom

Class trips offer unique opportunities to experience learning outside of the classroom. The Foreign Language Department provides the opportunity for travel study abroad for all students. Each trip, whether it’s abroad or down the street, is carefully and consciously designed to provide students with a safe, rewarding and positive experience, and one which expands their horizons. These trips provide practical experiences and hands-on education that augment material studied in class. Some of the field trips taken are:
  • Alabama Dance Theatre
  • Alabama Nature Center at Lanark
  • Alabama Shakespeare Festival
  • Alabama State Capitol
  • Camp Chandler
  • Camp Cosby
  • Dauphin Island Sea Lab
  • Desoto Caverns Park
